By understanding the current state of the system and its future plans planned, we can a design vacuum system that’s extremely flexible which adapts and grows to what you need today, and in the future, too.
When managing master plans for our clients and assessing future subdivision changes, we ask these critical questions.
With the right master plan, a request for a development extension or subdivision can happen much faster. An area that is often overlooked by master planning designers is knowing how well the sewer system is currently operating. To help give an accurate picture of this, Flovac’s engineers insist on getting a sign off from Flovac’s Operational Group prior to submitting the master plan for regulatory or governmental approval.
Sewer system safety in the master design is a critical part of the design process and so our operations group need to be fully involved. For example, if the system isn’t coping with the current flow rate, then adding a new hotel or group of houses, could cause the system to malfunction. Regardless of what the designs and master plans’ describe, if there are critical issues such as vacuum valves haven’t been maintained, infiltration is occurring, or the vacuum pumps need upgrading, then any of these could make the system worse impacting safe operations.

All systems undergo change during their lifetime. For example; a group of 4 houses could become 8 or become a 5 story apartment block; a caravan park could become a group of town houses; or a school could become a group of apartments. The faster the master planner designer can get the new development approved, the less pressure they will get from a politician or developer. Flovac can help with this.

Send us a layout of your project, whether it is a septic tank replacement scheme, a new land development, a marina or something else where you may need a vacuum solution. Also share with us the flow rates you would like us to use, and where the sewage should be sent to. With this information, we will work with you on the costings and whole of life costs including operational costs. And then we will work with you on the full design of the system.
